If you are a fan of old school soul and funk music, check out Jim George! Jim’s music has its roots in the past offerings of Prince, Tower of Power, and James Brown, with a touch of Al Green and Smokey Robinson thrown in for good measure. The result is a new twist on the sounds of these and many more artists, bringing together Jim’s multitude of influences into a fun funk-soul-rock infusion guaranteed to please!
Jim’s career spans several decades, beginning in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he learned his chops playing music on the blues scene, honing his craft with Larry Garner and Harmonica Red (among others). He has toured with Larry Garner, Red Skyy, Lyman Ellerman, and Elvin Killerbee.
Jim runs JagLabs Studio, where all of his music is conceived and recorded; Jim has also recorded music for many others, including Eric DiSanto, Cumberland County, Lynn Anselmo, Jim Standley, and The Void.
Jim brings his years of training and experience together in his recordings, offering a fresh, soulful look at his favorite styles of music, with a unique, personal fingerprint that makes it all his own.
