You Don't Know What I Know
YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I KNOW, By Jim Gaudet

You don't know what I know at least I don't think you do I'm hip to a secret known only to a few
and I'll let you in if you'll tell me one too
Well it must have been second nature
that brought me back for a second glance
On second thought a second wind might just
Change the circumstance
But I found out second fiddles rarely get second chance.
You don't know what I know.

Ain't it hard when you stumble
and you got no place to fall
and ain't it hard when you mumble
in the midst of your big call
ain't it hard when you crumble
when you thought you were a wall
You don't know what I know.

Ain't it hard when you're sinking
And you're trying so hard to swim
ain't it hard when your grip slips
And you're out on that limb
Aint it hard when you're you,
And she's wishing that you were him.
You don't know what I know

I fell asleep on a park bench
thanking God for a beautiful day
I let myself get thinking
things were starting to go my way
then I woke up laughing,
I got a little carried away
I'm gonna live to be a hundred,
these things won't matter anyway
I'll make a big speech
If I can just remember what I want to say
I'll blow out all my candles
Then I'll dance the night away
