Biography
Jim Bradshaw
North Americian International Male Vocalist of the Year,
North Americian International Entertainer of the Year
New Zealand Music Assn: International Music Ambassador of the Year,

Jim offers 2 shows - a three piece with Jim on lead vocals using backing tracks and also a larger band floor show featuring a female Guest artist and Jim doing a full Cabaret Floor show with songs covering the 60s 70s 80s 90s and today.... But mainly contemporary country

Jim has travelled the world winning numerous awards and has now returned home to New Zealand.

Born in Invercargill, Jim started singing at the age of 18 after seeing a truck with members of the Corral Country Music Club drive past his gate during the Southland Trucking Country music Festival. Within twelve months, Jim had become a force to be reckoned with, in competitions in Southland.
Jim moved to Auckland in 1992, and started intensive vocal training with Cheryl McClay, of West Auckland (Vocal coach to the stars). Jim then hit the Australasian country music competition scene.

In 1993 and then again in 1994, Jim had won several of the most prestigious Australian and New Zealand Country Music Awards, including several coverted titles from Tamworth Country Music Festival and the Auckland Country Music awards in 1996. Runner up in the New Zealand Country Music Entertainer of the Year.

Always trying to develop the artist, Jim then took on Canada. Winning several Talent Quests and Country Music awards in British Columbia.

Returning to NZ in 1998, Jim then continued his Vocal Studies with Cheryl McClay. Taking a year off competitions to develop the artist within.

In 2000, Jim was hand-picked by his publisher, Ginny Peters, of Pegasus Music, to represent the South Pacific Country Music Association in the North American International Country Music Association's(NACMAI) awards in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, USA. Jim took the award from the two hundred male vocalists who entered. Then going straight into the Grand Finals held at the Governors Palace in Tennessee.

The finals comprised of the top two singers, from each of the twelve sections chosen from the seven hundred entrants, from the seven countries who made up NACMAI.

After winning both the, North American International Male Vocalist of the Year and the North American International Entertainer of the Year, Jim toured the states, sponsored by the American Airlines, performing in some 65 cities.

Jim Bradshaw has had the honour of performing in some of the most prestigious Country Music venues in North America.- The Grand Old Opery, (where country music began) - The Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame, Tootsies Bar, (where Pasty Clines' and Willy Nelsons careers began) As well as performing for TNN (The Nashville Network), CMT (Country Music Television), and NZs' own TV channels 1,2,and 3.

Jim has been extremely flattered to have been in the company of artists such as Freddy Fender, Donna Fargo, Stella Parton, Garth Brooks, Patsy Rigger, Susan Prentice, Sir Howard Morrison, Casey Murray, Sally Burgess (ex West Auckland now Nashville).

Returning to Auckland, Jim was then signed to CFM Productions, CFM.Productions@xtra.co.nz., touring New Zealand. With the tour starting at the New Lynn R.S.A., the Jim Bradshaw Showcase consists of Country, light Rock from the 60s, and just a little pop. It was the first booking to have sold out in the history of the New Lynn R.S.A in Auckland, NZ.

Humbled, and flattered by this start, Jim's statement was "It's the music that they remember".

It was while on tour that Jim developed his talent as a song writer, and has original songs now recorded in Nashville USA, and Germany, through his publishers.

Jim then released his debut Album - Jim Bradshaw "I will run to you", which included several original compositions, including a remix of the international, web-chart hit "We could move Mountains." It also features several of the songs that Jim has won awards with in four countries.

"Songs that ONLY Jim could sing; Littlerock, Trying to get over you, Brand new man, The Rose, I'm not supposed to love you any more, I'm already there" All in Jim's own unique style" (CFM Productions)

Jim Bradshaw will once again become a regular on both the New Zealand, and the International Music scene.
