Crooked Road
Well I set out on my own
Looking for a new place to call my home
These old mountains sing a different tune
Then the lakes and rivers that i'm used to
But I hear the trains calling me
Carrying all the people from town to town
And I wonder if they have room for
another who’s not ready to settle down
I’ve been running down this road so long
Trying to make a living while writing these songs
In every new town there’s people to meet
They help keep me up on my feet
They help Keep me up on my feet
So come take a ride on this crooked road
The destination isn’t known
As long as you stay with me
Well have everything that we need
Well have everything that we need
I’ve been running down this road so long
Trying to make a living while writing these songs
In every new town there’s people to meet
They help keep me up on my feet
They help Keep me up on my feet
