I had a dream, it seemed so real to me,
I was walking up the staircase to eternity
and the higher I climbed the more narrow it seemed,
but when I opened the door at the top
you were waiting on me.

Saying I've been waiting for you to be with me,
it's the most beautiful place I've ever seen,
There's a crystal river, down by the streets of gold
so come with me and meet the Saints of old.

When I walked in, there did I see,
there were angels singing glory all around me
then straight ahead, sitting on a great throne,
the King of all kings called me one of his own.
