Biography
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Jason Herndon is a Roots Rock, Americana, Alternative artist. Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, his first recollection of music was at an early age when he was exposed to 60's and 70's Country and Rock-N-Roll by way of his grandparents tube hi-fi console stereo/ turntable. Shortly after that, Herndon began raiding the record collections of his friends and family members where he discovered, what is by today's standards, classic rock. Herndon’s music doesn’t mirror any particular artists or styles, but there is a thread of influence that ties them all together. Jason’s live shows include original material that spans the distance from tender, heart-wrenching ballads to raucous, fretboard-burning rockers.

Renowned record producer Fred Mollin says, Jason Herndon is "A true American storyteller. Like a young Kristofferson with a touch of Faulkner"

Herndon's new EP Arlington Drive and Other Stories is now available for sale on most music media websites, including iTunes and Amazon. The new EP was produced by Fred Mollin in Nashville at Fireside Studios. It includes 5 of the best songs (stories) that Herndon has told thus far, plus a 6th bonus track of the original demo of "Arlington Drive." Jason's music offers an insight to what he is thinking, even when the thought is just a fleeting one. On Arlington Drive and Other Stories, Herndon is supported by some of Nashville's best musicians, including John Hobbs on piano and keys, Pat Buchanan on guitars, Larry Paxton on bass, Greg Morrow on drums, James Pennebaker on pedal steel and Fred Mollin on guitars, harmonica, and percussion in addition to providing production oversight. Engineering duties were handled by studio veteran Dave Salley.

Jason Herndon is an independent artist who works under his own publishing company, Jasonik Boom Records (ASCAP). Jason lives in Nashville, Tennessee, where he continues to write music and play guitar for various artists. You can also find him performing his own music in full band or acoustic solo performances around the Southeast.
