Red Crow
Red Crow

There was a crow on the edge of town
Up on the hill where the sun goes down
He turned blue, he turned gray
He turned red then he flew away
I thought I saw a red crow
Early in the morning, late in the ev’nin’
A red crow

That crow had a mouthful of buffalo meat
I’ll tell ya, some got a taste for the bittersweet
A little buffalo meat in the middle of the day
That meat was bad and he spit it away
I thought I saw a red crow
Up on the mountain, down by the river
A red crow

That crow was alone till he fell in love
Head over feathers for a turtledove
She was stuck in a zoo down in Monterey
And that crow turned blue and he flew away
Crow turned blue and he flew away
Crow turned blue and he flew away

I thought I saw a red crow
Warm as daybreak, cold as midnight
A red crow

There was a crow on the edge of town
Up on the hill where the sun goes down
He turned blue, he turned gray
He turned red then he flew away
A red crow
Early in the mornin’, late in the ev’nin’
Up on the mountain, down by the river
Warm as daybreak, cold as midnight
A red crow
