Virginia Firewater
Jacob grew up hunting wild game in the hills of Southwest Virginia on family property. His great-uncle would often tell him stories about the old days after returning from a day of hunting. He once told a story about himself and Jacob's grandpa from their wilder days of drinking moonshine and painting the town. He gave Jacob the disclaimer, "of course that was back before we got old and wiser, we'd get jacked up on firewater." That line of the story stuck with Jacob over the years and he penned this song about it many years later.
