Biography
HillBilly Fever is a hard driving traditional bluegrass band made up of seasoned musicians with varied backgrounds.
Mark Krider - Banjo. Mark has deep bluegrass roots from the North Carolina mountains where he grew up listening to and pickin’ bluegrass. “You might say it’s in the water there.”, Krider states. Mark works hard to keep the traditional sound going and formed HillBilly Fever. The band performs regularly around the country from the East to the West coast. Mark has shared the stage with The Osborne Brothers, The Country Gentlemen, The Lewis Family, and Blue Highway.
Randy Pasley - Dobro, Vocals. Randy’s style of dobro playing is top-notch. He has performed with Doc Watson, Wayne Henderson, and Tim O’Brien - just to name a few. Randy also won first place on the dobro at The Galax Old Time Fiddlers Convention. He adds a large sound to the band with his Beard dobro and is sure to please all audiences. Randy and his wife reside in Ogden, Utah.
Tucker McCandless - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar and Multi-instrumentalist. Tucker comes to us from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Mark and Tucker have a long time friendship making music for the last 25 years. Tucker has a great high-lonesome bluegrass voice and is a pleasure to listen to. Tucker also performed at DollyWood for 10 years and played a key roll in the dinner shows.
Hudson Bosworth- Lead guitar and Vocals. Hudson obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Bluegrass, Old-Time and Country music at East Tennessee State University and studied guitar with Wyatt Rice for four years at Johnson City, Tennesee. Hudson has developed into one of the best flat pickers around, and makes his home in Ogden, Utah along with his 1989 Santa Cruz guitar.
Billy Parker - Mandolin, Vocals. Billy is known all over the West Coast as “The Mandolin Man.” Billy makes his home in Chandler, Arizona and has been recording and playing Bluegrass, Old-time, Celtic and Jazz music for many years. He is a one-of-a-kind performer that adds great tone and tasteful melodies to our show.
Alan Tompkins - Bass, Vocals. Alan is no stranger to Bluegrass music. He promotes one the biggest Bluegrass festivals in the central U.S. and is sure to blow away audiences with some of the deepest and most pronounced vocals in the bluegrass industry. He makes his home in Dallas, Texas with his wife and daughter.
