Bio
Performing since the age of five, Helene Matalon has graced the stage with her gift of
music. Her songs cover a wide variety of styles which range from contemporary jazz
melodies to dynamic blends of dance and pop music, creating a unique sound unlike
any other. Helene personally produces and mixes all songs in her state of the art home
MIDI recording studio.
The magic of Helene's music is appreciated by audiences of all ages. Several of her
songs reached #6 worldwide in 3 record pools. She was also a children’s
recording artist for a small record label. Outside of her studio recordings, Helene has
performed live at the Apollo Theater, The Bitter End, several street festivals in New York
City and on cable television programs.
Helene's composing and recording skills were put to good use when she was hired by a
Brooklyn, New York company to provide musical arrangements and vocals for
animatronics. She provided the audio recordings for these mechanical displays,
bringing various characters to life like singing and talking bears, dogs, trees, fruits, and
more at shopping malls, garden centers, museums, supermarkets, etc. 
The original songs of Helene Matalon are inspired by both personal experiences and
everyday observations. With regard to the style of lyrics that she writes, the meaning of
each composition is left to the listener for interpretation, providing for a unique listening
experience. With the ability to emotionally touch many people from all walks of life, the
original music of Helene Matalon carries its own remarkable healing power.
