Verse:
Born in a manger, in a little rundown barn.
A baby named Christ Jesus, land marked by a star. His expectations were uncertain, his acceptance out of reach from his own religious people, on what he would soon teach. He would go through life rejected, to seek and save the lost.
It took an innocent not guilty verdict
To lead a sacrifice to the cross
Chorus:
From the cradle to the cross, an innocent lamb slain.
With salvation in my heart I know his death was not in vain
When Satan watched him die, he thought we suffered loss
But little did he know Gods work was complete from the cradle to the cross
Verse:
We view the cross much different now then others did in old time prophecy. They looked forward toward the coming of a baby boy in Jesus Christ the king
We look forward toward a kingdom come, But we still look back just to keep in mind, Where I took my carnal man, and left my past and future sins behind
Repeat chorus:
Bridge:
For 33 years he walked this earth he healed and raised the dead, And while we were yet in our sin he took our place instead, On the cross, on the cross
Repeat chorus:
