The Water is Wide

Arguably one of the most beautiful songs in the English language. Is there anyone who has not covered this one? So, why not a version by me to add to all the others? I love playing this one because I never know what’s going to come out of my guitar. Each time it’s something of an improvisation; the bare bones are there but the little extra frills and almost bluesy licks change each time and make it a real adventure to play.This version features imaginative backup from Larry (pedal steel and fiddle) and Byron (acoustic bass). Teresa adds a gorgeous vocal harmony to two of the verses.
