Deep Blue Sea

I learned from an early recording by Pete Seeger. No one seems to know where this tragic song came from, but Pete thought the Bahamas, hence the slightly “island-ish" feel in the arrangement. The song builds from a folky solo to a full-band rendition that sounds almost like a Bahamian gospel song. Piano wiz Marco Benevento’s keys and David Amram’s whistle put the icing on the cake.
