Bluegrass group The Goodwin Brothers have reason to celebrate after taking home an impressive three Josie Music Awards. To celebrate the momentous occasion, they're excited to reveal their new highly-charged Bluegrass single “Down To The Mill,” which is featured on the band’s latest critically-acclaimed Pinecastle Records project If You Hadn’t Noticed.
“We are always honored to be recognized for the music we create,” says the band. “Big thanks to the JMAs, the Grand Ole Opry House and everyone that took the time to vote for us. We truly appreciate everyone’s support!”
The 9th Annual Josie Music Awards were held in Nashville over the weekend and it was an amazing night for the Kentucky based band. They were recognized for their 2023 single “Everyday Thing” which was the “Song of the Year (Bluegrass)” winner. Individual members Chase Bush was honored with “Vocalist of the Year” and Jonathan Goodwin took home “Guitar Player of the Year.” The event took place at the historic Grand Ole Opry House, and it was an exciting night filled with performances and several high-profile appearances.
The Goodwin Brothers are also charging forward with the promotion for their latest project. The feel-good anthem “Down To The Mill” showcases members Jonathan Goodwin, William Goodwin and Chase Bush throughout. Its highly relatable lyrics were penned by Tim Stafford and Thomm Jutz. It serves as the follow-up to the previous hit “Everyday Thing” which peaked at No. 2 on the Bluegrass Today Grassica Chart.
The Goodwin Brothers have plenty more surprises in-store throughout 2023 and into 2024. These include several upcoming tour dates, where fans can hear them perform new music for the first time.
