We follow like sheep when it’s so inconvenient creativity gone a stray
Closing our eyes. well it’s not our problem .what could we do today?
I can only express myself and take a stand let you know just how I feel
Responsibilities falling to short. truth has been concealed
Paint blend your colors on canvas Write spill your words on the page
Sing like you really can change things building some peace in our world
A vet stands by a freeway entrance asking for help in the rain
Sometimes all he needs is a drink. Something to deaden the pain
Well he’s owed more than that how can we just turn away pretend that he’s not even there
Are the soldiers returning awaiting that fate? No one can convince me that’s fair
A great man once said that we must respond and speak out loud and clear
In pros paintings poetry and music and live without the fear
Speak out in homes and halls and streets and farms in courts and in cafes’
And the stillness you hear will be the gratitude of mankind responding in every way
