Standing Ovation
Showing Freebo's love of orchestration, "Standing Ovation’s" first note is that of a French horn, and it signals the beautiful repetitive 3 note motive of this folk anthem that Russ Paris of Folkways calls “an astounding song which encompasses a profound view of life, destined to become a classic”. This song was previously recorded by Freebo, but this version is re-sung, re-mixed, and re-arranged with a new drum part played by the incomparable John Molo (Bruce Hornsby & The Range) with Rosemary Butler (Jackson Browne, James Taylor) on angelic harmony vocals near the end. Those who liked the previous version of “Standing Ovation” will LOVE this one!
