We chose to feature this track for consideration of "Just Folkin' Around" because it's one that always makes folks light up, tap their toes, and sing along during out live shows. Some folks know it from popular music of the 40s, while fans of John Hartford know it from his arrangement on the "Aeroplane" album. We like the call-and-response vocals that encourage people to sing along. We also like the contrast of not having a verse-long instrumental part, like many of our songs do. And with the theme of an old timey radio, what a great fit for a sampler CD for radio DJs!
