Sandman

The band America made this song a hit in 1971 and our co-producer, David Barrick, had been after us to record it since the tragic day of 9/11. We recorded it as an effort to show our support for the men and women that defend our country and to honor those who lost there lives in the 9/11 attack. When we recorded it, we wanted to translate the anger we all felt on 9/11 so we mentally prepared ourselves by watching footage of the attack and printing pictures of Bin Laden and placing them all around us in the studio. We wouldn't even pretend to know the intense feelings that a soldier must have before stepping into battle but hope that this song can be used to help rally the troops.
