Grandpa Hadn't Always Been Saved
Grandpa was a tough and hard old man.
He fought the Germans in World War II
With his own two bare hands
He got saved when he got older,
But he didn't always understand
What it meant to be a Christian Man.

But He was fair, and he was honest.
And if he gave you his word,
It was better than any promise.
But if you thought about sassin' him
You'd better rethink what you say,
'Cause Grandpa hadn't always been saved!

Well my Grandma was the love of his life.
She was always right beside him,
Like a good and faithful wife.
But sometimes they would argue,
And sometimes they would fight.
But she could always get him to see the light

Because He was fair, and he was honest.
And if he gave you his word,
It was better than any promise.
But if you thought about sassin' him
You'd better rethink what you say,
'Cause Grandpa hadn't always been saved!
