Merciful Hand of the Lord

"Merciful Hand of the Lord" was inspired by a family story passed down for generations. Millie Ann was pregnant with her first child when her husband, Tom, was killed in the field outside her home one evening. She was despondent and didn't want to live. This song is her lullaby to send her husband to the Other Side. Millie Ann delivered the baby a few months later and she died soon after it was born.
