13. I’ll Never Know – I wrote this with two old school country cats on Music Row, Jerry Salley and Jim McBride. I pretty much don’t dig co-writing, but I love these guys so much it’s cool just being around them. It sounds like a simple little country song, but it’s a bear to sing. Only the fantastic Dwight Yoakam could hand deliver this kinda style and hillbilly soul to the track. I’m so struck by his voice with my voice. He is a master vocalist. What a treat for me.
