Hunting Bear
HUNTING BEAR
written by Doug Moreland, ASCAP (composer/author and publisher)

Huntin' Bear, huntin' bear
Load that wagon, beans & bacon
Saddle them horses, the dogs are bayin'
We're off to the mountains for bear
Grab your rifle, holster your pistol
Check your knife edge, kiss your missus
Huntin bear, hunting bear
We're off to the mountains for bear

I was born here, I was raised here
I go hunting' bear every year
Up in the morning at 5 o'clock
We're off to the mountains for bear

Black bear's all we ever seen
Eatin' nuts and berries, seldom meat
But something's been up there killing sheep
And we're off to the mountains for bear

Huntin' Bear, huntin' bear
Load that wagon, beans & bacon
Saddle them horses, the dogs are bayin'
We're off to the mountains for bear
Grab your rifle, holster your pistol
Check your knife edge, kiss your missus
Huntin bear, hunting bear
We're off to the mountains for bear

Well, the story's told of a giant creature
Like a brahma bull, who could up and eat ya
Killed a cow and baptist preacher
We're off to the mountains for bear

Yeah he stood as big as a cottonwood tree
9 foot wide, old and mean
Devil in his eye and he's looking at me
Kill that mountain of a bear

Huntin' Bear, huntin' bear
Load that wagon, beans & bacon
Saddle them horses, the dogs are bayin'
We're off to the mountains for bear
Grab your rifle, holster your pistol
Check your knife edge, kiss your missus
Huntin bear, hunting bear, we're off to the mountains for bear
