Biography

His work as composer is widely recognized in the local scene. In collaboration with “The Hall Effect”, a Colombian Rock Band, he made an exceptional production; his songs reached the top of the rock charts for 8 continuous months in the most important Bogotá rock station, Radioactiva. Hit songs include: Become, Up on the moon, Away and Not alone.

This year Diego-M releases his first production: “Memories”, mastered by the living legend Doug Sax, a multiple GRAMMY Awards winner, in Los Angeles, CA. Doug Sax credits include Pink Floyd, The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, Korn, Ray Charles, Sheryl Crow, Alison Krauss, U2, among others.

DIEGO-M has developed a sound of his own which is making its way through the rock scene. His first single “Get Up ‘n’ Dance” is a perfect mix between electronic music and rock. With shows full of energy, DIEGO-M captivates the attendants.

His genre is “indie alternative rock”. With his songs, DIEGO-M takes us on a journey into his mind, and shows us how he sees life and the world.

Each song of DIEGO-M is like an x-ray into the depths of teenager’s minds; they need to shout to the world what they feel, but sometimes don’t find the way or the place to do it. Fear, sadness, pain and sorrow are surrounding them, and they just feel like the world is going too fast and this consumer society is taking their individuality away…

DIEGO-M uses music to get to the heart of every human being, inviting him or her to live a new life; he writes about his life experiences and what he thinks are the biggest problems of today’s society: indifference and lack of humanity.
