Don't Cry For Me
I used to talk to dad every morning on the way to work. He would always give the weather report and if it was springtime he would be excited about planting a garden and had the itch to get outside and maybe just sit. He played bluegrass all his life and I can only remember a handful of times that he proud of me. He never sugarcoated it, but if he told you he liked something, it really meant something. My brother and I always tried to to do our best because of the hard life we had growing up. I wrote the majority of this song in about thirty minutes two days after my father passed, the sorrow I felt came up in the song I wrote. Melissa helped get some of the rhyming correct and some word replacements.
