DEANO GRAHAM SHARES “Mountains Are The Reason” from the GRASSVILLE project
Introduction:
The Bishop of Bluegrass has ventured into the world of traditional bluegrass after two stellar all-gospel recordings (2021 & 2022). Presenting soul-stirring “smooth as butter” vocals, clever and entertaining lyrics, and sizzling instrumentation, Deano Graham is delivering music that people really can relate to.
The Story Behind The Song:
“Mountains Are The Reason is an upbeat song that is true to the traditional bluegrass style. The sizzling fiddle artistry of Andy Leftwich, along with the dobro and banjo work of Wanda Vick Burchfield literally ushers you straight to the Appalachian mountains.
While the lyrics are straight and to the point, “I’ll take the mountains over you lil’ darlin’, these hills have never done me wrong”, “These mountains are the reason for my songs”. It’s a sad lyric of a man who wallows in his self-pity, but is reminded of all the mountains bring to his life and creative ability to write songs.
Featuring the musical wizardry of notable Nashville musicians including Andy Leftwich (fiddle and mandolin), Wanda Vick Burchfield (dobro and banjo), Shaun Richardson (acoustic guitar), Mark Burchfield (upright bass), and Victoria Burchfield and Deano Graham (background vocals).
GRASSVILLE is Deano Graham’s third studio album on the Blue Oceans Music label, and is due for release on June 23rd. Pre-order is available now.
