The Path
The Path
Written by: Bernal Ibarra

Watching the stars appear above in oceanic skies
Each point of light transported from another space in time
Reaching the beating hearts and infiltrating wishful minds
Wisdom of eons are encoded in a pinprick shine

Diamonds and stripes all over
The face of the night
Flicks on the switch of my little searchlight

The path to heaven is a lifelong road
Building a temple's only stone by stone
No consequences but the ones you chose, you chose
Appending the book with everything you wrote

Fire and water mix with the earth and wind
Angels of death are trailing in the places that you've been
Dreaming and dancing on a million year old plane
Risen to motion underneath a brilliant ball of flame

Nobody knows the creation
For a long time to come
Frightening, dangerous, beautiful kingdom

The path to heaven is a lifelong road
Building a temple's only stone by stone
No consequences but the ones you chose, you chose
Appending the book with everything you wrote

Strangers in sandals gather on the hills of grass
Lives are connected in the collection of our pasts
Hostility dampered by the presence of the eyes of fate
Minutes of life counting down as we celebrate

Diamonds and stripes all over
The face of the night
Flicks on the switch of my little searchlight

The path to heaven is a lifelong road
Building a temple's only stone by stone
No consequences but the ones you chose, you chose
Appending the book with everything, everything, everything you wrote

The path to heaven is a lifelong road
Building a temple's only stone by stone
No consequences but the ones you chose, you chose
Appending the book with everything that you wrote, that you wrote
