Biography
David Oakleaf moved to Nashville after a top 5 finish on CMT's hit show, "Can You Duet". He met songwriter/bassist Philip Pence and they started to write songs together. Realizing they had some great, original songs on their hands, they decided to form a band. They asked drummer, Michael Adams and Guitarist, Ben Thompson, both Australians, to join the band and David Oakleaf & The Open Road was born! They recorded their self-titled debut album in March of 2010 and have received a lot of airplay in the US Midwest. They enjoy being on the road playing clubs, festivals, arenas and the occasional firehouse (Thanks Moline, KS) and bringing a huge vibe to whatever town they are in. David Oakleaf & The Open Road will be around for a long time!!
