They are the players of the night
Hide in the corners far out of sight
A little fear from the dark unknown
Superstitions can chill the bones

They are the creatures who rule the night
They hold the dark as a sacred right
Nobody sees, but everyone knows
How it comes and how it goes

Dark shadows of the night
Trying hard to avoid the light
Where do they go ??

In the morning they will fade away
But they’ll be back the end of day
They’ve been here since time began
They’ll be here ‘til the end of man

Ever changing throughout the night
Moving slow in an endless flight
Everyone knows there’s nothing really there
But we all have those childhood fears
