Thank you for the things you always do
Like washing clothes and making beds
And making sure the kids get fed
And taking time to love their daddy too

I’m grateful for the light that’s in your eyes
It shines on all these blessings true
And fills my every breath with you
And somehow helped me come to realize
It’s a wonder that I’m here at all
To hear our little baby’s footsteps fall
Her tiny voice, her smile, her laughter too

The six year old wants eggs and daddy’s knee
The baby’s playing peek-a-boo
And clapping hands and hugging you
You all want what I’m so glad to be

And the older girl’s a joy to be around
All grown up and heart of gold
But still she needs her folks to hold
I’m grateful we’re a family and I’ve found
It’s a wonder that I’m here at all
To hear our teenage daughter when she calls
And to see her pretty smile and know her too
Cause we’re all her together cause of you

Well all our kids were sent from up above
They make me laugh and smile and then
It makes me cry if I can’t help them
Learn all of the ways to grow in love

And I know of the things that you’ve taught me
That lonely are the ships that drift
Upon a sea without a kiss
The girls and you and I are family
It’s a wonder that I’m here at all
With Lily, Sammie and our Genny Bell
Vienna, Jayde, Sujata, Laurel too

The Doctor said your going to be just fine

But everything will be O.K.
Hey aren’t you glad that it’s a boy this time?

To watch our little Otto learn to crawl
A little man to join our little crew
