Love Is A Treasure
Love Is A Treasure
By Damian Muller

V1
I once was a young man, in love with a woman
We made plans to marry and wear rings of gold
But her heart soon it wandered, and she left me alone
With only her picture and memory to hold.

CH
Love is a treasure, on the banks of a river
Like gold it slips through my hands
And I'm an old miner, whose poor heart is tired
A lifetime of sifting through mud and through sand.

V2
My body is tired, these old muscles aching
It's hard to keep working when the waters run cold
And sometimes I wonder what I'm still searching for
Were the treasures all taken a long time ago?

CH
Love is a treasure, on the banks of a river
Like gold it slips through my hands
And I'm an old miner, whose poor heart is tired
A lifetime of sifting through mud and through sand.

V3
My life will soon be over, and I hope I find heaven
Where rivers are peaceful and I'll labor no more
Where treasures are endless and I'll walk streets of gold
Where love is eternal and you're never alone.

CH
Love is a treasure, on the banks of a river
Like gold it slips through my hands
And I'm an old miner, whose poor heart is tired
A lifetime of sifting through mud and through sand.
