This is a true "train song" mixing a personal experience with a childhood memory of watching fascinated as cars from all over the south passed through our little town bringing dreams of far away places that a travelling musician might get to visit one day. This song was also recorded masterfully by Jim Hurst and his performance of it at the IBMA Awards is sizzling entertainment to say the least.
Also recorded in another unique style is the version by the great band Prairie Oyster.
