Good Times
I remember the root beer stand at that time of night when the wind rolled in
I remember the lamppost lights and our state of mind dancing to Terrapin
And sometimes when I’m driving
A little thought creeps in
I wonder how, I wonder how we would’ve been
But I can’t let my mind go
Too far down that road
So I remember the good times
The old neighborhood times
When every other sound was laughter
We were careful and carefree
Young love was the easiest love to find
I remember the good times
I remember that August night when we said goodbye before I moved away
I remember you took my hand, pressed it on your heart and quoted Hemingway
And sometimes when I’m driving
A little thought creeps in
I wonder how, I wonder how we would’ve been
But I can’t let my mind go
To a place I’ll never know
So I remember the good times
The old neighborhood times
When every other sound was laughter
We were careful and carefree
Young love was the easiest love to find
I remember the good times
If two people love each other there can be no happy end
Some rise, some fall, some climb to get to Terrapin
Some rise, some fall, some climb
I just remember the good times
I remember the good times
And I don’t go down that road
