No One’s Got Them Like I Do - by C.Siegel - sung by Lynne Jordan: I wrote this in the early 70s and there are multiple versions. The first version (unrecorded) was for my solo performances for piano and vocal. The 2nd version (recorded in 1981) was for the Corky Siegel Band, The 3rd, historically significant version was a symphonic blues sonata for Arthur Fiedler and the San Francisco Symphony, for a 1976 performance at the Civic Auditorium, and was part of my very first commission composing symphonic music. The 3rd version (based on the symphonic version) was recorded in 1994 for the first Chamber Blues album on Alligator Records and this 4th version was re-written as a Chamber Blues style arrangement for this album. The diatonic scales, arpeggios, the docile 16ths, keep the string quartet in the classical mode while also acting as the blues band. All of the works in the Chamber Blues catalogue are focused on allowing the blues and the classical flavors to live independently within the compositions. With the addition of the guest artist anything can happen. - Corky Siegel
