Ernie Watts (2x grammy winning jazz saxophonist) and also co-written by Jeremy Montiero. I met Ernie in India on tour with violin maestro Dr. L. Subramaniam and his wife, Bollywood singing star Kavita and their family. I was bringing blues BBQ to Indian Tandoori. Ernie and I bonded on that tour and he has performed extensively with Chamber Blues. The strings are arranged with a lot more syncopation than I usually use but still tried to keep the classical feel in the strings. Kalyan on Tabla is simply amazing. In general I wanted Kalyan to offer more ornamentation on all of the works than a simple groove and back beat, to bring out more interesting tabla sounds. I credit Kalyan with creating all the tabla arrangements on this album.
