UKRAINE: The album is intended for a September 23, 2022 release, but we wanted to get this most unusual track to you now. In 2020, when we decided to include a chant for peace sung by one of our guest artists, Cantor Pavel Roytman, we didn’t understand the significance of his Ukrainian birth. How can we not put this message out now and embrace our Ukrainian people, dedicate this song, this album, this moment, to our Ukrainian family. (My grandfather was from Odessa too).
Our dearest Maestro, Dr. L. Subramaniam (known as the God of the Violin in India) expressed;
“You can’t always get to people’s minds with words but you can get to their hearts with song.”
And as St. Jon Batiste expressed in his Grammy acceptance speech on 4/3/2022;
“It’s like a song ... it has a radar to find the person when they need it the most.”
And so we send this work on the wings of the muse to our Ukrainian soul mates - “Glory to Ukraine.” - 4/5/2022
The musical arrangement of theme and variation takes you on an adventure with stops from Hoochie Man to Mozart and back.
The meaning: "How beautiful when brothers sit in peace"
