The Lights In Our Village
The lights in our village
The lights in our Village are dimmed for tonight
The valley lies quiet and still
We’re sitting and waiting ‘till we hear the call
Of the bells from the church on the hill

We put on our boots and our coats and our gloves
Step out in the cold and the snow
Carefully tread and trying not to slip
To keep our lanterns aglow

The flickering flames of our candles shine bright
They show us the way through the night
Hand in hand, we are singing along
To the tune of an old Christmas song

The moon and the stars shine so bright in the sky
Our lanterns glow humbly below
From near and from far all the shimmering lights
Thank the child for salvation and love
