Kindly Ones Waltz *FOCUS TRACK*

K. Quincy Parker (b. 1972) is a composer, singer, guitarist, teacher, and arranger who began his musical journey in his native Bahamas as a producer of hip-hop music.  While composing for a multitude of genres, he has made a mark as a composer of art music in The Bahamas. Following his passion as a film composer, Parker worked with The Imagination Workshop’s Rupert Missick, Jr. to score the short film The Kindly Ones, a riff on The Eumenides, the final play in the Oresteia trilogy by Aeschylus. “The Kindly Ones Waltz” is the main theme of the score and reflects the studied gentility of a formal occasion subtly subverted by the simmering rage and eventual murder that takes place.
