Biography

Carolyna's latest EP, Ode To The Fan will be released by Swamp FOlk Records in November of 2016 in Australia, and June 2017 in Canada, followed by a tour of Australia Nov/Dec 2016 - and Canada June-September 2017.
Carolyna is an Alternative Country-Rock artist with a 25+ year writing, recording, and touring career. With 6 albums, a live DVD, 91 single releases and more than 50 placements to date, Carolyna is a prolific professional involved in producing and performing with a number of bands. Carolyna owns Bedrock Studio Recording & Production Services in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland where she produces the work of other artists, records her own material, and works as a V/O artist for film and tv in Canada and the US.

Since 1993 when the internet became pervasive infrastructure, Carolyna has been releasing singles from studio recordings and live shows around the world. Lovely has amassed fans internationally by touring and releasing albums and singles and maintaining a constant online presence. She draws on her life experiences and extensive travels to produce a maturity of sound sharpened by 25 years of performing live.

Carolyna on playing Alternative Country-Rock shows:
"I play with a few different bands and like to book work specifically with those bands in mind. My favourite gig is the soft seat theatre. The band starts out all sweet and acoustic and by the end of the show i'm tearing into a jam with the boys where they shine as the fabulous musicians they are and I ride in that space of fan/guitarist until its my turn to let it rip in the closing. I adore the jam once the show has been rocking along. Its great to start out with a calm introduction to the material and then kick it up a notch or three before the set is done. Ideally, I like to play one, two hour set and ride the sound from calm to climax, as much a fan as a performer. In clubs we'll do a one hour set, break to meet fans and sign merchandise, then return for another hour or so. By that time we are wiped and oh so happy."

* Mid 2015 album of prolific Australian songwriter, Kelly Cork, One Of These Days (BG vox);
* An acoustic cover of Trent Reznor's, Hurt, with Kelly Kereliuk (guitar) (Carolyna: vox) for the film, Home Away (CAN 2015);
* 2013 BG vox on folk angel Joanna Chapman Smith's, Carnival;
* 2011 A duet with Canadian country singer/songwriter J.P Riemens on Love is a Dog;
