Biography
London born songwriter Caroline Ty (Tychewicz) produces Nu-jazz pop with bluesy mezzo vocals and richly dark lyrical song themes, a fusion of electronic and organic. Music you can dance to, but always with a dark undertone somewhere in the chord changes, as if not all is well at the party.

Influenced musically by New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Massive Attack and Depeche Mode, vocal inspiration comes from expressive singers like Nina Simone and Dusty Springfield who tell the story of the song sincerely and without vocal acrobatics. Lyrical influences are songwriters like Nick Cave, Guy Garvey and Leonard Cohen, who use strong imaginary and rich poetic language.
September 2012 will see the release of a new collection of bittersweet love songs: ‘You Will Always Want More (and Never What is in Your Hand). Tales of clinging onto love, getting over love and daring to love set against the backdrop of summer riots and stolen lazy afternoon moments.
