Hard Working Country Preacher Man
"Hard Working Country Preacher Man" is the debut gospel single for Caleb Bailey & Paine’s Run on Turnberry Records. Penned by Mark “Brink” Brinkman, Terry Foust, and Dave Evans, this song tells the tale of bygone days and barn revivals in the Bible-belt south in the state of Georgia. The descriptive and distinct imagery captivates you from the beginning to the end of the song. Bailey states, “It was such an honor to be able to record a “Brinksong”, having a 5-time IBMA nominee for Songwriter of the Year pitch you a song is special, but to be able to cut it and have it as the debut gospel release for this project, is truly an honor. I think we got a great studio cut, and I’m certain our fans will be enjoying this song for quite some time.” Brink says, “I co-wrote "Hard Working Country Preacher Man" with my good friends and great songwriters, Mike Evans and Terry Foust. We wanted to capture the life of one of the many people that worked the farm during the week and preached God's Word on the weekend, as these rural areas couldn't afford full-time preachers. Caleb Bailey & Paine’s Run really bring our song to life! "When he left the field... he was the Savior's right hand". Great job by Caleb and em...we LOVE IT!!!.”

Joining Bailey on the project were: Wyatt Wood (Guitar/tenor), Chandler Beavers (Mandolin), Rob Slusser (Banjo), Brandon Kyle (Bass), and Merl Johnson (fiddle). The song was mixed and mastered by Caleb Cox at Homestead Studio in La Plata, MD.
