Don't Let the Green Grass Fool You

This CD is about going back home to Lafayette and reconnecting with the people, the music and the musicians that I grew up with. “Green Grass” is our Swamp Pop/Zydeco take on a Wilson Pickett classic and very reminiscent of the songs I grew up playing in the dancehalls of South Louisiana. Brian and Tony worked out a groove that was different than the original and when Ron added his (skiffle as he calls it) bass line it turned into a really happy smoking zydeco groove. And I think the inter play between Patterson’s piano/keyboard parts and Steve Conn’s accordion fills are genius. Happy Happy Happy.
