Strong

Through the window she can see the falling leaves.
Soon the winter wind will blow.
It’s the 18th she will face without him,
but she no longer fears the cold

By the mantle neatly stacked against the wall,
red oak she cut in the spring
There’s enough to keep her warm all season long,
and some for the neighbors if they need

Their a young pair starting out.
