Mobile Bay
The mockingbirds in the trees
Are making fun of my broken heart
The ocean mist is in the breeze
A foghorn echoes out in the dark

The minutes seem like hours
Washing over me in a wave
My wooden thoughts float like the ships
Out on Mobile Bay

I remember when I used to be
Happy and carefree
Now I can't seem to find a way back
The place I used to be

My breath is heavy in my chest
The sound of laughter from far away
I can still smell the perfume in her hair
Drifting over Mobile Bay
Drifting over Mobile Bay
