Biography
Georgia-raised, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Bobby Cool’s brand of music is infused with country, bluegrass, and roots. Cool (which is his real last name) is the two-time reigning country entertainer on gigmasters.com. He has shared the stage with Brantley Gilbert, written with some of music row’s top tunesmiths, opened an arena for a Duck Dynasty event, and his debut album, Light In The Dark, was nominated for Independent Country Album of the Year.

While attending the University of Georgia, Cool’s education in music began, not in a classroom but, in the historic downtown Athens scene. One venue in particular was a frequent spot for him and his friends. “I probably wouldn’t be playing music if it weren’t for the Georgia Theatre,” he says. “We were there all the time and my love for performing definitely came out of those shows.”

Upon graduation, Cool packed up and headed for Music City at 22. “I knew a couple of people in Nashville but knew nothing about the music business,” he says. “I was very fortunate to meet a group who took me under their wing and I was able to learn so much from them.” The first few years in town he recorded a couple of demo projects with the same players who had recorded with Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks, Alabama, Taylor Swift and many others. One session led to another which eventually led to joining a bible study at Sea Gayle Publishing. There, he formed a solid group of friends who were artists, musicians, songwriters, engineers and producers. “Being able to share hopes, fears, and develop a brotherhood with guys in a similar season was so big for me.”

Currently, in addition to writing, recording, and performing, Bobby is involved with World Vision to impact communities locally and abroad. "I started playing music because it was fun. And watching people sing, dance, and cut loose for the night is still one of the things I enjoy most about playing. But working with World Vision has opened up new avenues for us to be able to bring joy and impact people through music. And that's been pretty cool."
