No Excuse

chaos all around me, the dust is settling - clearing to reveal the catastrophic scene - scattered burnt remains where houses stood before - will i ever get that chance again, oh Lord? where did they go? why am i alone? prophecy fulfilled, countdown to the war - salvation lost, i have no excuse anymore - total devastation too awful to ignore - the moment has passed - i have no excuse anymore - sounded crazy at the time, what was it that they said over all the static and confusion in my head? now it’s not a mystery, i’ve seen it for myself what now surrounds me is a God-forsaken hell - i feel ashamed, but there’s no one to blame - my mind has changed, i’ll raise my voice i will find the way, it’s my life, that’s my choice
