Biography
Billy Simard is a singer/songwriter from Manitoba, Canada. At the age of 13,Billy won a talent contest on a local Winnipeg radio station. This gave him the confidence to pursue a music career.
His first single went top 10 on the Canadian Country Music charts. This is Billy's 3rd full cd release.
Billy has won songwriter of the year in Manitoba and folk/country cd of the year in the first Aboriginal Canadian Music awards in 1999 in Toronto.Billy has had countless artists record his songs and was recently inducted into the Manitoba Aboriginal Music Hall of Fame.
