Before Nine is a solid Gulf Coast music force pumping out its modern rock sound that has been sweeping through the Southeastern States for some time. Before Nine has gained a substantial, world-wide fan base that continues to grow daily with aggressive social media marketing, television and radio appearances,
The band recently was able to fulfill a life-long dream of many and won the honor to open up for KISS on September 17, 2010 in Houston, TX. The contest sponsored by Guitar Center was based on fan votes and the personal selection by KISS. This alone shows the unbelievable fan base support and musical talent this Gulf Coast Rock Band empowers.
Before Nine seamlessly merges an edgy sound and soulful songwriting in a way that engages audiences both live and by radio. They have performed at Bayfest in Mobile, AL, on the main stage at Austin’s Texas Rockfest during SXSW, Ocean Springs Fest, Hattiesburg’s Rock War II , also some of the most well known venues in the Gulf Coast, such as Club Le Vela in Panama City Beach, FL and The Swamp in Fort Walton Beach, FL. They have had the pleasure of sharing a stage with a variety of national touring bands including Kid Rock, Buckcherry, Motley Crue, Godsmack and now, the rock legends KISS.
The profound abilities of the band members and their devotion to the integrity of their music and live performance have proven to keep their fans wanting more. The recent transformation of the band has been an extraordinary collaboration of musical talent. Founding members Chris Barker (Guitar), Dwayne Barker (Bass) and Chris Dueitt (Drums) of Lucedale, MS added Houston, TX musicians, David Merriam (Vocals), and Mark Merriam (Guitar) completing the fusion that seemed to set the band ablaze.
