Biography
While growing up in Tennessee, Bard Edrington was introduced to the authentic sounds of old time music, The soulful country blues of Doc Watson lured him into learning clawhammer banjo. After years of front porch picking he started writing songs while living in New Mexico. He keeps the tradition of the Bard alive in his songs. His songs tell stories of frontiersmen, long forgotten train tracks, tropical paradises, and mezcaleros. Bard has lived around the world, pulling influences from each local he's lived. Most recently, he and his family lived for a year in a small fishing village in Chacala, Mexico. His latest album, Espadín, digs deep into the influences of living south of the border.
HIs lyrics put you in the song from the beginning and the music takes you on the journey.
