Piper
"Piper" is the second single from Ryan Glenn's upcoming album, currently in production. Glenn wrote "Piper" while still in High School and originally recorded it during the pandemic for his first full-length album "Faraway Rose", released in 2021. This updated version of "Piper" truly showcases Glenn's shift in style, and the updated chord progression and lyrical structure demonstrates the development and growth in his songwriting prowess.

While the original recording featured Ryan's affinity for classic Rockabilly stylings (as embodied by guest guitarist Joshua Ray Walker's guitar work and harmony vocals) the new arrangement leans heavily on all of Glenn's roots. "Piper" takes you on a musical journey through the deep south bluegrass influence of Bill Monroe and Ernest Tubb, passes through the Sun Records days of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, and ends in a big band spectacle that echoes the era of Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey.

Glenn's homage to his roots culminates in the bold harmonies performed by arguably his most powerful musical idols, his parents (bass player Dave Moore and powerhouse singer Kat Moore,) to round out a tasteful series of call backs to the greats that came before him.
