“Keep Movin’ On (Terraplane Records), by Bill Toms and Hard Rain, is an uplifting reminder that we’ve endured, we still have our sanity and there are, indeed, good times ahead. Singer/Songwriter Toms, who started out in ’87 as a member of the Pittsburgh’s Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers, has put out nine records but none as honest, soulful, inspirational and technically amazing as this one. From Tennessee to Italy, band members phoned in their parts—including the super talented Will Kimbrough as well as The Soulville Horns—to create a quilt of sound, harvested into the fruit of their passion, dedication and talent. Sure sounds good! Highlights include “Man’s Soul Is On Trial,” written just prior to the election, stressing unity over division, opener “Still Got Love” and closer “American Dreamer.” Bravo!”

“Bill Toms makes southern bluesy rock with grooves and grit. That’s what we call Americana. His music is just cool. And if you give it all away, you still got love. Isn’t that the truth?”
Lucky Clark, Central Maine Morning Sentinel
One thing that I enjoy about what is on this CD, other than the compelling nature of the vocals, is that rhythmically and stylistically it’s a musical journey. From one song to another, you don’t know what’s coming next. I love that quality in an album; I love taking that journey.
Chris Spector, Midwest Record
BILL TOMS & Hard Rain/Keep Movin’ On: Nice, solid blue collar rock that’s a great antidote for pandemic times when only the hearty refuse to be sidelined. The tenth outing for this crew, they still know how to rock it right down the middle with soul, grit and style. And through it all, the message is to have a good time.

Rock-and-soul master Bill Toms returns with a beautiful message of healing and hope in the face of despair. "Man's Soul Is on Trial" oozes a soothing grace as Toms gently pleads for unity over division. It's a message for the times and a sublime step forward for the artist. Can't wait to hear the rest of his coming album.
